This tweet by his girlfriend would seem to confirm our fears. Best of luck to Phillip. We had better hope AJ stays healthy this year. Who remembers having to watch Mark Gullien under center. Although, we could probably still move the ball with Darren Lake under center handing to Lacy, Fowler, Yeldon, every single snap...

From what I saw of Ely in the spring game, we could win with him. Would not look the same at all but would win. Downfield passing might go away and a TE or RB would be the leading receiver but this team is too talented to come unglued from one injured QB.

I was told last year Alabama was lucky to have Ely & that he was a QB that could play winning football. Was told this when discussing if Sims would stay or go.

You guys should not even follow players on twitter accounts. These are either kids or very young adults. You cannot go by what they say there, one reason, is because all you can do is guess at what they are talking about. In this case especially you are thinking he is talking about saying goodbye to Alabama. Where the hell does he say that? It could be about any thing or any body he is talking about. I do not follow twitter, nor will I ever, as I believe all it does is start, most of the time false rumors. Read what you want to in these young people's statement, but until he states it either to a coach, or media, I will not believe he is leaving Alabama. If he does, good luck to him, but I do not based on that 1 statement believe his is leaving.
