Saban will pitch the same thing he did for Jessie Williams' family. Alabama will be internationally televised nearly every single game with CBS and the flagship ESPN1 channel. Clemson won't be. Ole Miss won't have nearly the pull being on ESPNU and regional SEC networks.

This isn't exactly true, at least not to the extent you think. You do not have access to domestic US ESPN, ESPN 2, or ESPNU in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or the Middle East. ESPN International carries very few college football games. For example, the only game that ESPN Middle East is carrying this weekend is Kansas State-Okla. State, and it isn't live...it's about a day late. That's right...you can't even get Alabama-LSU this weekend. Second, you can't get CBS games at all overseas. The only exception is Armed Forces Television, which does pick up the best of US college football games from all the networks every week. But even Armed Forces will only have a few Bama games every year. And you can only pick up AFRTS if you are US military or State Department. So Mrs. Nkemdiche would almost never be able to see Alabama play on TV while in Nigeria...but she would likely never see Ole Miss.

You have to understand this is a very strong woman, she has alot on her plate and is trying to survive in a political climate that noone on this board could imagine.I'm not making excuses for her but if she's smart enough to recognise The U of A has a great academic and football program then thats a very good start.I would love to get this guy on our team but we'll still win our share with or without him.

How smart do you have to be to realize that UA offers good academics and good football?

You can get a VPN to allow you to watch ESPN360 overseas if you have good internet. You can also get a slingbox. I've been doing this in Europe, and haven't missed a Bama game since living here.

All true. It's been 4 or 5 years since I came back. I was referring to traditional TV and cable/satellite. Internet changes everything and gives you more options, but it's also as you mentioned on your connection. The more developed the country, as in your case, the greater likelihood of beig able to have that. When I lived in eastern Europe, it was pretty good. South Asia, not so much.

  • I'd figure south Asia would be better than eastern Europe.m, but I guess it would really be in the more developed nations like Korea or Singapore.

Always loved Singapore. Awesome city...my favorite overseas city. Visited several times; would have loved to live there. Prettiest, cleanest, greenest big city I've seen, including the US. Highly advanced technologically.

By south Asia, I meant Pakistan, India, Bangladesh.

  • I agree hytboy12,
Just a nose for the ball and plays well above his physical stature suggests he would play.
