Interesting hire for AU at OC....

Well, Philip Marshall, that glorious beacon of light for accuracy in sports reporting, responded to one of his minions that this was NOT Plan B. I'm not reading their 6 page thread, but I was wondering if anyone was going to ask which half of the alphabet it fell into, then.

lol, well technically Phillip is speaking the truth. You will notice Phillip is not saying he is choice A either

Yes, brought in to help Tebow refine his throwing motion. Two years into the NFL, they're still trying to get it there.

To be fair, at this level, "qb coaching" is probably more about decision-making than it is about mechanics. On the other hand, if they hired a throwing-motion technician to run the offense, we may be in for a helluva 2008, um, I mean 2012.

    Douché!

Still laughing at Helena's reference to the new OC making use of the existing "payors on hand" at the Barn, ha ha. That will have me laughing for weeks. This post will not soon be forgotten HT ;-) Even if it was a slip of the keyboard, so to speak, and you may have meant "players" but there's no denying it brother, even your "subconcious" knows what's up at the Barn, ha. CLASSIC!!!

thats a good catch there I'm assuming it was just a Freudian slip there on the old keyboard. biggrin

If that's the case then the Aubrun alphabet must have been rearranged unbeknownst to the rest of us. I guess they grouped all their vowels at the beginning to keep them straight.

Whats funny is that Loeffler probably said yes before the phone even rang.

  • If Scott Loefler was Gene Chizik's first choice then he is a bigger idiot than I've given him credit for.

  • barners fail to realize that loeffler was just a grad assistant when brady was there...so he was not the oc or the qb coach, so coaching tom brady to greatness is a reach...that would be like saying the grad assistan in the 80's made DT or Biscuit into a star.

The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.

Whoa. The 1985-1988 defensive GA was a guy I grew up with, Cris Nicholas, and he played a huge role in developing out linebackers. He's well known in old school coaching cIrcles but left football to run his dad's steel fabrication outfit. Great human being.

Sorry to get offtrack. Just can't stand when we forget we're talking about people that others might know.

  • Summary: AU is going to a pro-style offense with spread players ran by the former OC of Temple who were 116th out of 120 in the nation for passing offense.

    Homerun hire, IMO.

not saying he was bad, but he wasnt the one that made the magic happen. Id assume the LB coach did that on top of his freakish athleticism
