Rose was on the Waddle and Sylvie Show on ESPN Chicago and they asked him if UK and Memphis played in the tournament, who he would cheer for. His response was that he would want Calipari to win because he was like a father figure.
After I heard it I thought about it and I can't decide if it makes me mad or impressed. A kid is suppossed to commit to school, not a coach, but then again, the rules have almost forced some of these elite players to commit to the coach that will get them to the league. Thoughts?

Respectfully disagree. I like the 3 year rule of college football strictly because if they were one and done, they would be boys getting physically abused by men. I think the reason for the football rule is to protect the younger guys from injury, get them in a solid weight lifting program where they will be able to handle the violence that is the NFL. In basketball, an 18-19 year old kid should be able to go against the pros if he is good enough. There would be nothing worse than enforce a rule where you have to spend three years in a league only to tear your ACL in year three and miss out on the NBA. I am basing this on no scientific research whatsoever. Just my personal opinion of course.

Interesting point from Derrick Rose (UK vs Memphis)
