Wasn't Jeremy Pruitt in one of those roles just three short years ago and is now the Defensive Coordinator at FSU?

I was always impressed with Saban's ability to get coaches with legitimate college coaching resumes to take GA or quality control jobs. Both Napier and Groh were coming off of offensive coodinator positions when they joined the Alabama staff. The proof is there though that if they work for Saban in a somewhat "diminished" role than they are used to, then they will ultimately advance their careers.

No way to keep up with all the moves Coach Saban makes. The man breathes success! Anyone with any opportunity to work for him knows he will better their careers. I would quit my job today if he needed me to show him the ropes!(g)

good point...almost like offering a greyshirt...if you come here for a lesser role and show your value, you will be promoted and given your shot next year or the next

Do you know that status of Chris Samuels? I understand that since here returnrd last spring in order to complete the classes needed to get his degree he was a student assistant. Is he still taking classes or ?

Travis, has Billy Napier officially been hired as the receivers coach ? I didn't see it yesterday in the media release. Brown and Cristobal were named but not Napier.

I asked this same question about two weeks ago. Chris is a good guy and in my simple way of thinking, would be an asset to the University in a more official capacity. A former all-pro lineman: bet he could recruit!!
It sure would be interesting to know. If anyone out there has some info on Coach Chris, it sure would be appreciated.
