I dont know. It could be. I was just looking over the schedule of games for that day. There are several good games to pick from. I could see it being a late game or a 11:00 game. Ya know with the barn being so bad and all this year.

  • I'm not aware that CBS has the option to flex out of it. They would have chosen the Iron Bowl before the season.

CBS hasn't chosen any game for November 24th yet. Looking at the schedule, they could pick between the Iron Bowl, Kentucky vs. Tennessee, Georgia Tech vs. Georgia, Miss State vs. Ole Miss, and Missouri vs. Texas A&M. Seems very likely CBS would pick the Iron Bowl.

ESPN/ABC has the rights to Florida @ Florida State and South Carolina @ Clemson since those are ACC home games

I guess I'm less clear on the CBS contract than I thought.

Ole Miss vs. MSU is a possibility considering that the Iron Bowl will be a savage beatdown. It would probably draw better second-half ratings. Kentucky, Missouri, and Auburn will have probably one SEC win between them, and that one only by default, so if we go by relevance/competitiveness, the winner is clear (Georgia Tech is pitiful this year as well).

The only people who would watch the Egg Bowl are people in Mississippi. A game likely featuring the #1 team in the nation would draw a lot more national interest.
