Citadel is being bought out by Cumulus. 106.9 frequency is going to sports to compete with Jox(and Jox includes Finebaum).

I HIGHLY doubt Finebaum makes the move to a new station. From what I can tell, 106.9 is the station looking for the afternoon talk show, not Jox.

Birmingham sports radio(JOX) has been terrible for years. The only show worth listening to was the old Dunnaway & Brown show when it was on AM. I hate to loose 106.9 but someone will fill the classic rock void. I think a good mix of local and national shows would be a great thing.

The RT is great, and rockstar is very underrated, kid is hilarious!! I think that it is just the right mix of sports with some other topics and they are all pretty sports knowledgeable.

How bout we remove one of the hundreds of useless country stations and replace it with the sports radio. Or how bout we turn off one of the millions of Republican Radio broadcast channels with Rush $hitbaugh and his chronies and replace it with some football. Politics should never be on the radio because its not like we need to hear any more hot air coming from the voices of those like Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. At the very least that should end up on AM radio not on FM.

Lastly, why is it my car picks up stations from Greenville, North Carolina but I can't listen to 103.1 the Vulcan when in Irondale?
