Is 2008 Bama Recruiting Class Best Ever?

Assuming everything goes as planned this year and Lester is first round next year, that's 7 first round picks in one class. Throw in Hood as a pro baseball player........
So, what say you?
Edit: I'm talking greatest in history of football. I'm sure Miami and USC have had some good ones, but 7 first rounders?? Dayum!

Lookout for some of these classes since. What was interesting about that class, compared to the ones after, was how many top level in state players we added. I'm not sure if there's been a year since with so many top flight players from the state. I like that now Bama can go after players regardless of where they're from.

I'd say the 2008 class speaks for itself with elite talent at positions at every level. While the 2008 class features future NFL stars; I think it also experienced a high attrition rate leaving the door open for a class like the 2012. I think in terms of accomplishments, the 2008 class may be tough to beat with 2 NC, and the talent to win 4 (including 2008). I think how the BCS/Conf. Expansion may make it more difficult for a team to have a dynasty like 2008 but we'll see.
