As much as I think or thought Lebron is/was the best player in the NBA I'm starting to believe Durant is passing him by. Dude has really changed my opinion!

Durant is a more prolific scorer, and he's more consistent than LeBron, but he's not nearly as good on defense. Nobody in the NBA today can take over a game on BOTH ends of the court like LBJ.

This is MY OPINION. In my 30 years of watching basketball, I have seen many many BASKETBALL players that were better than Lebron. However, he is the beat athlete I have ever seen in the NBA. He isn't the best as far as basketball but the NBA has not seen this type of 6'8"-6'9" freak athlete before. His athleticism allows him to do a lot of things others just simply can not do.

I agree with that opinion. Because KD hits shots like that I have doubts that Bron is the best. Only to realize, after the shock factor KD creates wears off, Bron can absolutely take over on both ends as someone above stated

Kevin Durant is a born scorer and better shooter than Lebron (maybe best shooter in the league.) But Lebron all around is the best player, maybe ever imo. Guy fills up the stat sheet every single night like no other. He is going to get his 26+, 8+ rebound, and 6+ assist. add in a few steals a blocks to that as well. Legit triple double threat every single night. Can play every single position on the court and has developed his post game over the last 2 seasons. Also gotten better from 3 each year of his career. Lebron is the best imo. Durant is GREAT as well and a pretty close 2nd, but Lebron is the best
