I'll give him good marks for his efforts & tweets covering the tornadoes. But I was generally unimpressed with his sports coverage.

I would like the employees of the 4 major state newspapers sports department to be gone along with Pam Siddell of the Bham News. Replaced them with competent people with beat writers covering Bama who are like the other writers that cover the other 11 SEC programs. Also, get New York City type beat writers covering auburn.

Glad to hear he is gone....He just did not get it..Bama fans are intelligent when it comes to football and if you think you are going to pander to us with odd stories while pushing an agenda...We are smarter than that...That's why Skarbo is a comedian instead of a sports writer..

I agree that he didn't get it and I agree he was/is skewed against Bama. I am unsure if it is his fault. I think the Al.com news conglomerate did it to him. They hired someone, who they knew would suck, because they hate the Crimson Tide. I doubt they'll hire a suitable replacement either.
I wouldn't be surprised if Izzy didn't want out.
Bottom line: cancel your subscriptions to the Birmingham News, stop listening to jox or 740, and stop reading Al.com. We need to make our presence felt. Just read and subscribe to 24/7.
