J Fowler at H-Back

  • Any chance Fowler moves to H-Back. He has all the tools to be a great one. He can block, catch and he has good speed and size.

Dont believe so...Calloway, Volger, Jones are all in the mix

  • I think the blocking, speed, and size are there, but his hands are still questionable. Dropped a sure touchdown in the A-Day game. I'm sure whoever they decide to go with there will be more than capable of producing.

  • No doubt that he has the tools, but he is too important at running back to move. I see fowler being like upchurch. Punishing teams in the second half.

  • I was a big proponent of Fowler to H and there were some formations where you could argue he was playing H that I saw spring 2011. My opinion to why this never materialized were two fold. The biggest was the emergence of Smelly, and a close second as Trevor pointed out, he could not be spared at RB....he was an injury to TR from playing significant snaps last year. Right now we have a bit more depth there but we have guys that are coming off significant injuries and that is always a question mark at the RB position where you just can't make assumptions a guy is going to come back and be full speed or not impacted at least slightly when the reps and contact build.

  • Seems unlikely but I suppose if later in the season Lacy is still going strong, Hart is 100%, Yeldon can't be kept off the field, AND if no one has stepped up at H, then maybe. It sure is nice to be so loaded with talent we can worry with how they're gonna get the ball to all these playmakers.
