Jalston Fowler

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I recall CNS saying last year that Fowler was the one RB that the defense hated to tackle in practice! I know Lacey is more complete and is the man this year but I believe alot of ppl are sleeping on Fowler. I really like the kid and expect him to have a great impact on our offense in 12. Thoughts?

Reminds me alot of LaRon McClain. He looks more like a half-back/full-back hybrid. I would love to see us use him like the Ravens used LM. However, he certainly has the versatility to play tailback. I love a power back that pounds teams into submission at the end of games.

He use to be a full back in high school, Well at least is what i heard, But he is fast when hes out in the opening, He is one special player.. ROLL TIDE!

he will probably end up giong pro and being a great pro RB that we will all look back on and say wow don't remember him being that great. Sorta like Jacobs at Auburn. Overshadowed by Ronnie Broan and Cadillac Williams.

I can't wait to see Fowler play meaningful snaps. It seems he's only gotten carries when the defense has already gotten its back broken, but he seems so impressive all the same.

Ive also heard he has very soft hands "no homo"... I remember in his highlight video he had a leaping one-handed grab that would rival some of our wide reciever's catches...

I'd like to see him continue making an impact on opposing defenses. Jalston brings it.....I believe we see more next year.

He was a RB. I got to watch him in person while he was at Vigor a good bit. What he did to kids in high school was unfair.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.

He does. I remember the catch you are talking about and that isnt the only like that I have seen him make. Jalston can create some severe mismatches because of his size and athleticism but he needs to work on pad level and his feet to be an every down back.

All I'm saying is he had 56 carries for 385 yards and 4 touchdowns, For a third string running back who didn't play much that is some good numbers! ROLL TIDE!

True... He does stand up a little high when he runs, but it doesnt seem like people really want to try and tackle him head up... I know he hasnt played anything but mop-up, but he kinda reminds me of Beanie Wells... Mainly from a size and speed standpoint...
