Jay Prosh transfers to Auburn

I was, at first glance, excited to see this. I went to school with the kid at UMS Wright in Mobile and he is an absolute beast and a smart, hard working dude. The ONLY thing holding him back was that Illinois ran a true spread. Unfortunately, the reason for him returning was to be closer to his mother who was diagnosed with brain cancer. This was unknown to me as I was never particularly close to him. He will have the opportunity to play right away and in my opinion will be a critical component to auburn's pass blocking and running game. He is, without a doub,t my favorite Auburn player (not that there is much competition). I wish he was wearing crimson, because IMHO he would play at least some for us, but its hard not to root for the guy considering the circumstance.

He's a true fullback listed at 250 by Illinois and his High School weight room numbers are a 440 bench press and 590 squat.

I feel for him and his family and hope for the best with his mother. It has to be tough to focus on what he will need to for football. Hate it for him that he had to wind up at Auburn.

Hey OP don't take things to hard. Some people can not separate football from real life. Some Bama fans gloated over Kregthorpe at LSU getting Parkinson's. I wish the dude the best especially due to the situation at hand.

Risin I went to UMS too when did you graduate? But yea Jay is a badass, allstate lineman his junior year then comes back his senior year has 200 tackles and is an all state linebacker. He's definitely gotten bigger and stronger from those numbers and told me the other day he power clean 401
