His tragic and untimely death put a big damper on him taking over as the King of Linebackers(outside)...L.T. will always be considered the best because he was the first, but D.T. was considered by a lot of people to be the one to dethrone Taylor as the most feared outside linebacker. NFL films did a short highlight film about Thomas and his domination after his first couple of years and at the end he drives off from the camera after saying, "The '80's belonged to LT, but the '90's belong to DT"...I believe he still holds the record for most sacks in a single game with 7 and JUST missed an 8th sack...

...by the way, if anyone doesnt respect and acknowledge what Jim Brown did in his career as a pro-football player then no way in hades should Lawrence "crackhead/slept with a 15yr. old" Taylor be given as an example for anything.
