I'd prefer to see Trent stay away from KRs too.

I think Dee Hart will handle punts if he can solidify his hands, no muffs like at A Day.

I haven't seen enough of some of the other guys to have an idea on who would be a good kickoff returner. I don't really like maze on KRs. He's a bit light in the britches and doesn't take a hard hit well.

I'd love to see Grant and Sylvie on KR and Maze to start on PR then hopefully have Hart take over a few games in

Why is having TR returning kicks any riskier than handing him the ball, or him catching a pass in the flats? If he's destined to get injured, he's going to get injured. How many times this past decade can you recall a KR being injured during a return? I'm all for him returning kicks and letting him quickly flip field position. You also have to know CNS wants guys back there he can trust to make the right decision, and protect the football. It will take a lot for a freshman or even a redshirt freshman to earn that trust.

His running style is going to see him take punishment regardless of how he touches the ball. In all honesty we are talking about 2 extra touches a game. Last year he had a total of 24 returns.

So it makes sense to give him the ball 3 or 4 times to try to take it out to let's say midfield, when he as a better chance to rip of some huge yardage on a kick return and get us in great starting field position?

I'll compromise, forget returning kicks against the likes of Kent St, UNT, and Georgia Southern, but in every conference game, and that difficult trip to Happy Valley, he needs to be back there unless someone else proves they will secure the football and make good decisions.

I think Xavier Carter ruined CNS trust with using Freshman as kick returners. I remember him kneeling on the one yard line!
