His feet aren't slow, he has dominated great speed rushers. He just seems to drift attention wise against worse competition.

hes just massive..you cant be too quick and 360 pounds...hes quick enough to get the job done but is always going to get torched here and there by elite ends. i expect him to be a solid late first round pick for somebody

The light hasn't gone on yet for DJ relative to his ateticism, I heard a GA make a comment about him similar to that early in the fall. DJ has always been a massive, bullying type that knows how to use his size and strength very well and this lends itself very well to the road grader tag he has. What he hasn't learned to harness is the finesse part of being a lineman, and tackle in particular. DJ loves a challenge and I think he's going to find somebody that helps him improve that part of his game when he does that he will be a stellar and complete right tackle. I wouldn't be surprise to see a team with a lefty QB make a play for him early.
All this recognition he's getting is very deserved, DJ was always one of the hardest working guys on the team, always pushed him teammates and will be valuable in that respect to many a team.

My last comment is the obvious point of joy in the comments...how many times, from different analysts and about different players do you hear...he's the best "blank" I've seen/evaluated in years, ever, etc. I am becoming a huge fan of this time of the year...combine and NFL draft time is nothing put a continual advertisement for our program. Sure many others put guys in the league, but we have no peer, and it is not even close, in the consistency and depth at which we develop players for success at the next level...any recruits who want the best odds at winning and moving on to the next level have no other real choice when it comes to a college football decision.

Fluker's awesome. I've never seen him take plays off but when Andre Smith was trying, that guy was dominant. Like Saban said to AS one time, "Do you know how good you can be?" Glad AS has made improvements this year in the NFL. If you had just highlight reel stuff on both, AS is the best I've seen in the last decade.
But with Fluker's attitude this is probably right. Teams with a QB with pocket mobility would be stupid not to give Fluke a look who hasn't hit his ceiling.

Also think it's going to help that he will interview well. People like him. And he's massive.

That might be a negative since they have to buy his shoes. Haha.

As long as his skinny ankles can fit in those shoes, all should be well.

Didn't want to make a new thread for bad news (especially just hearsay), but it looks like Barrett Jones's stock is going the other way.

Interesting exchange of tweets...I don't see Jones going round 1, but don't see him getting left out of the second/early third...the statements that he doesn't make the guys around him better are rather short sighted.

lol. his cleats are crazy big. You wouldn't even think they are real they are so ridiculously large.

Fluker checked in at 339 pounds. He was 355 at the Senior Bowl.

One thing about Fluker that I've noticed: he has a gigantic wide base when playing. To me this is an incredible strength in run blocking and in pass blocking when faced with a bull rusher. However, big Fluker will have massive issues with speed guys. What I've noticed is while the naturally wide base helps him do his thing, it also makes his ability to quickly adjust his base position very difficult. Try it yourself....get a super wide base and attempt to change direction quickly. It's really hard to do...especially when you're 330+ and born with a natural big gate like that. The all pro tackles have tremendously quick feet that can adjust to speed. I think DJ will be a very good one, but he needs to work on that gap and change of direction. Go get em big Fluker!!!
