LSU

  • So I may get down voted for this...but how elite is LSU? Let's say they win out. They would have beaten Alabama #2 Oregon #3 and likely top #5 Arky...then Georgia will likely be top #10....and then whoever is #2 in the NCCG. Has anyone ever beaten 5 top 10 and 4 other teams in the top 25 (Auburn #20, WVU #16, UF #17, and MSU #25) in the same year? Granted the bloom is off the rose for some of those top 25 teams...but where would the LSU team rank all time?

And before I get labeled as a corndog...I hope Bama gets another chance and smokes their tail. But as much grief as we've given the grass eating mad hatter...he's on an impressive run.

  • As much as you are impressed with them I am more impressed with us. I say that because we should have beat them like I was expecting which is 2 TD's. We are a 2 TD better than them team. If we get another chance that's how we'll finish.

  • When AJ looked at the film of the easy TDs he missed, I'm sure he just about threw up.

  • GOAT? Not sure I would put a team that is still playing games yet, but they are and excellent team.

I heard he did exactly that. He will be ready to do it right next time. Our receivers will run better routes and AJ will hit the right one.

  • We must tip our Bama hat to LSU this year. Pure-and-simple, they have handled every opponent and not wilted. They beat
us by playing conservative, waiting for us to make mistakes--which we did. Yes, Bama beat Bama on 5 November and LSU
picked up the pieces. I am not agitating for a rematch, if we had won, I would NOT want to see LSU again. If it works out
that we play them again, so be it, but right now LSU is #1 and they deserve that ranking. However, next year, we will be out
for them and may the chips fall where they may.....RTR!

  • Yes. Lsu would be a deserving champion if they win out. Wins over Bama (on the road), ore, WVU on the road is a tough place to play, arky, a hot UGA team in atlanta, and #2 in the BCS title game is a worthy resume.

However, let's put this into perspective:
Bama has also played arky, the barn (on the road), UF (on the road), MSU (on the road), PSU (on the road), and #1 lsu. There isn't much difference in those schedules. PSU/WVU is a push. The other teams are the same with the home/road differences also a push. The one difference worth noting is Ore. So, I am not ready to ordain this lsu schedule as the toughest in the country "by far" as many of the experts are saying. And, I still think lsu is beatable. Since this is the first time they are 10-0 since 1958, it will be interesting to see how well they handle the pressure.
