LSU has out coached us 3 of the last 4

  • This may be the dumbest thread in BOL history. We were coming off a physical game against MSU. LSU WAS fresh after an open date and played their best game of the year. WE STILL WON! Roll Tide!

Are you people always this ignorant? We were out coached and out played, we just made what was the most important play.

Out coached?! Les Miles cost his boys the game. All while Mett played a near flawless game like Garcia did in 2010 and Bama still won.

    You guys are dumb.

  • And let's not forget who really helped cost LSU the game...our old friend "Third and Chavis". Honestly, since a twenty-something year old offensive coordinator, working with a cobbled together offensive line, took Chavis to the woodshed five years ago in BDS, Chavis at LSU has never worried me. If you were at the Bama-Tennessee game in 2007, you recognized his defense on that last drive last night. Vol buddy of mine texted me, "Mustang package from Chavis. We've seen it before."

Yeah, if you think back about that game, it was the day the Textbook Five were suspended. Wasn't even announced until that morning. We had to play without two starting offensive linemen, including All-American Antoine Caldwell. B.J. Stabler, who played hurt, ended up starting. Had to move players around on the line, with no time to prepare. And Major Applewhite coached circles around John Chavis. Hung 41 points on him.

Ever since Chavis got hired at LSU, people have forgotten about his reputation. He was known for losing leads out his own version of the prevent defense. Saban mentioned that they knew and prepared for what LSU does during two minute drills on defense. Thankfully, third and Chavis reappeared when we needed it. +1 to you for remembering it.

+1 back at you. I didn't catch that remark by Saban. Very telling indeed! Now who REALLY outcoached whom?!?

    Amazing.

QB couldn't throw it in the ocean all year, now he can't miss.

Edit: I'm happy to be wrong on this one. :)

Y'all keep downvoting me. I'm sure all these downvotes come from people who didn't get frustrated one bit during the game last night. And just knew we were going to win. I'm sure of it.

I have to respectfully disagree with you...we have not been out coached in games with LSU...our coaches have put our players in positions to win but sometimes our guys just don't make the plays they need to...it is easy to blame the coaches but it ultimately comes down to hat on hat, defeating the guys in front of you...last night finally our coaches said "Enough of this. We have the Best offensive line in the country...time to use it" and our players came through.
