I agree. That is my problem with what he said. Why say it? What are you trying to prove? He knows that he saw Saban there. The person that wrote the story made him say what he said? Nope. He chose to use this story about his recruitment. Just seems pitiful to me.

I disagree....the uga players just can't shutup. Jenkins was clearly taking a shot at Saban here and wasn't really trying to hide it.
I'll say this...as "short" as he may be, everyone gets a lot of opportunities to look UP at him on the postgame BCS Championship stage.

And Richt lets freshman speak to the media why?? The reporter probably spun it his own way but again that is why you wait until they have experience in the program before you let them be interviewed.

When I was in school at Bama(06-10) I knew two different girls that slept with him. One of them he picked out in the crowd and got his bouncer to get her phone number- she stayed on his bus for the next week while he was on tour. The other one he met at Red Bar in Grayton- I was dating one of her friends at the time who was with her on the trip. All the girls in the group got pictures on kenny's bus with sean peyton and his wife as well as the Lombardi trophy.

Its not Saban's job to be "friends" with the players. I've heard nothing but good things about Jenkins as a kid, so I am sure this story is taken way out of context. But with that said ... I would much prefer to play for and learn from an authority figure that didn't give me a secret handshake and hug in the hallway. There's a time and place for that and its 10-20-30 years later when you come back and see/visit with the man that helped shape your life.
My two cents.

I agree. This is the reason Auburn recruits well but then can't do anything with the talent. You need a chain of command. Losing that is a recipe for disaster.
