1. Football players have been getting arrested since the days of leather helmets.
2. It's obviously a topic of interest for those concerned when players, especially from poor backgrounds, come up with the money for bail.
3. The NCAA already knows that sometimes college athletes get arrested, make bail, and they don't need the Mobile Register to bring to their attention the possibility that someone may have paid it for them improperly. Athletes get arrested all the time.
