I'll be really curious to see how he has grown as an OC. He had a pretty decent offense prior to coming to Bama... then he didn't do a great job of working within the parameters of Coach Saban's offensive system. Maybe Mack let's him do what he wants and MA shows why Coach Saban originally put his faith in him.
I'm pulling for the guy. He had a passion for Bama and wanted things to go well here... they just didn't.
Dude had John Parker Wilson as his qb and thought it would be a good idea to ask him to throw it 462 times that season.
He wanted to force the ball downfield too much and JP didn't have the arm for it. He never coordinated to the skill and ability of his team. It wasn't how much he called pass plays, it was the pass plays he called. I was glad to see him gone but i do wish him the best.
Yeah, I've gotta admit that his offense looks terrible tonight. He hasn't been on the job long but this offense looks absolutely horrible and playcalling has been a part of it. I'm still rooting for him... but not a good start at all.
