Agree to a point but they went too far in the opposite direction. Really hurts players like RBs who are extremely valuable when young and might not get a second contract. The pats are smart and decided to trade up this year and get more players in the first round and why not, they are cheap!

Everytime I read these now I am just so shocked how much these numbers changed with the new collective bargaining agreement. A huge win for the owners, in 2010 Ro was drafted one pick later than Barron in 2012 and signed a 5-year $40 million contract with $23 million guaranteed.
These numbers have been sliced in half and then some.
