Michigan fan I just spoke to.. LOL

  • I run a retail furniture store in MS and I was talking to a customer of mine that is a Michigan fan. I told him that you do know that y'all open up with us next year at Jerrys world right? He said yeah I know and were are so excited about it because we think we will beat yall easily next year by 2-3 touchdowns. He also said that Denard should throw for 250 and run for 150 on us all day long. I laughed and said are you kidding man? He said heck no if we beat yall next year like were "supposed" to the rest of the nation better buckle up because were going to the national championship. We went 11-2 this year and won our BCS bowl. We are going to beat yall easily next year and I dont see how yall can beat us. I said you do understand that we will have probably the best O line in the nation with one of the best running backs in the nation right? He said yeah but we already know we can stop yalls running game thats our strength. I could not help but LOL at him and said not only we will beat yall but it will probably ruin yalls false hopes of a National Championship. He got all mad and said "false" hopes? I said yes, you dont understand that you guys are not on the same level yet as a "reloading" Bama team. He got all mad and said there is no way yall beat us next year and I have spoken to 2-3 Michigan players and they all think its a foregone conclusion that we open up with a win against Bama next year. With Denard we will own you guys. After that final statement I respectfully said I disagree but we will see come September.

    Im already ready to be in Jerry's world and sing rammer jammer next year. Just no respect at all already for next year. We are not Auburn. Its time to get focused and get ready to dominate the opponent next year and make that weak ass Wolverine QUIT!

    RTR and btw Im still red in the face and ready to go watch bama play UM right now.

  • I have talked to 5 or 6 Michigan fans up here in DC they they say the exact opposite. They are much more like "why the F did we schedule Alabama." This was the sentiment before AND after the season.

  • Meh, Michigan got pummled by Michigan St and lost to Iowa this year. They struggled with Ohio St and gave up 34 points to them (a near season high, they only scored more points on Akron and Colorado).

    Let's not forget they barely eeked out a win over a pretty hapless Va Tech team in their bowl.

    11-2 in the Big 10 is like 8-4 in the SEC.

  • Robinson is a faster more elusive version of Jefferson. Talented player but can't throw a lick. Just not the kind of QB that gives us problems. One dimensional offense with the whole offseason to prepare for it? Good luck with that.

    I don't think the game is a slam dunk win but this guys analysis was so far off it's comical.

  • I was more concerned when we faced Tyrod Taylor. & we shut him down pretty good that night. He had a better supporting cast around him than DR does.

  • the recipe for beating UM is simple....make Denard throw the football. He is not accurate with his intermediate throws and his deep throws have way too much air under them and we will pick him off all day if we force him to throw. He can beat you with his legs but I doubt he can do it with his arm. We just have to play containment football and take away all of the short throws. I would put 9 in the box and make him beat me deep in man coverage. I don't think he can do it.

    Am I the only one that thinks we just absolutely own them? I was thinking like 38-14 or somewhere close to that.

    I live in SE Michigan, almost excactly half way between UM and MSU. The majority of the UM fans are scared and the MSU fans are rubbing it in. Saying things like: " When Bama is through with Denard, he'll be hearing footsteps the rest of the season."
