Personally, I would rather watch it on TV then listen to it on the radio, but if I am driving then I would not want to hear anyone but Eli Gold! That being said, my dad watches the game while listening to Eli Gold and it sucks because he knows what happens about 2 4 or 5 seconds before I do. Part of the joy of football for me is the suspense, and I can't watch a Bama game with my dad (unless we are at one) because he completely ruins it. Can you imagine someone telling you whats about to happen...SUCKS!!!! Still love my dad though, just don't watch games with him. That being said we are going to the Tennessee game this year like we did in 09! I hope this year I'm not freaking out like I was at that game. Speaking of the game, anyone know where I can get good tickets for a good price?

My problem with Ely is he tries to be a comedian too dang much.It just really pisses me off to be all serious about a game and have Ely drop in some 1 liner trying to be funny.If I am listening to a game on radio,I must be serious about it.Ely is fine when he stops that comedian crap.

Why do you need to know the down and distance when you are listening to Eli on the radio but watching the game on tv with the sound cut down because the CBS goons suck lol? Raise your hand if you've been there before.

I agree, Chris Stewart is huge Bama fan so its fun to hear him get so excited, but I dont think he will be a good lead, Eli is perfect for play-by-play. I really do wish they would bring Stabler back though.

Really like Eli Gold! Was really worried the 1st time I heard him doing a NASCAR show; thought we had lost him.

Any of you old enough to remember John Forney? What years was he the voice of BAMA? 1960's and 1970's?
