JC and Gerry are two of my favorites, but I really disagree with them here. IMO, Henry is only the most important commit in our class if he is the reason we get Tunsil. He would have to be the "but for" reason we pull Tunsil. I can see Allen moreso than Henry, but to me it just has to be Bateman, with Tunsil (assuming we get him) or Adams (if that happened to work out) being the only other legitimate considerations.

It goes without saying that I am excited about everyone on the commit list, but I think Derrick Henry brings that off-field charismatic edge that the class was lacking in terms of having a dynamic vocal leader.

When Henry committed, he and Demarcus Walker immediately hit it off and all that talk of Florida lurking for Walker all but went away. It went away to the point that before we knew it reports were surfacing about Walker helping recruit Laremy Tunsil and Kain Daub. I think Henry's energy and charisma were a big part of getting D Walker to finally tune out UF and start trying to help bring in more top notch talent.

Henry is also breaking/setting major marks (both nationally and in the ridiculously talented state of Florida) and he is outside the mold of a typical UA (or SEC for that matter) tailback, so I think the fact that he is coming in to compete in the backfield will also open doors for future mold-shattering prospects. For those reasons, I think Henry brings a unique edge to the Alabama commitment list that is pretty much unmatched.

My heart says OJ because he's a top in-state prospect and has never waivered, however tough not to agree with JC regarding Henry. Aside from Henry's talent and potential, he's been in Laremy Tunsil's ear for months about joining him at Bama.
