My shocker pick for tommorow

  • Arkansas over Auburn. I am serious, I just think Arkansas and Tyler Wilson exploit Auburns defensive backfield. I don't believe Auburn can keep them from scoring and don't think they can outscore them in a high scoring game.

    ROLL TIDE!

  • Actually very possible. Since Auburn Offense has not been putting up very many points a game and Auburn Secondary is not that good it could happen..

Maybe, but Arky is in complete disaray.

  • It says a lot about the poor condition of arkansas football when a victory over a 1-3 auburn team would be considered an upset.

We ARE arrogant, we ARE better than you and Alabama IS the center of the college football universe. Get over it!

I cannot deny this fact sir.

  • I hope you're right but I think Arkansas has mailed in the season. My shocker is the sense Vandy might get Missouri.

Wouldn't be a surprise to me. As I stated in another thread about this ballgame, Arky needs to get off to a fast start togive them hope. If they start slowly, they will lay down and Aub will kill them.

  • I've been saying this all week Cosmo, I agree. I just hope that we're right.

  • If Arky is tied or ahead at half...its very possible. If they are down more than 7...no.

Looks like several of us are looking at this game the same way. I look at it like Arkansas is due also. I don't think they are as bad as they have showed. They have what, like 13 starters back from last year?

The turnovers are what killed them against A&M. If they can minimize those, they have a pretty good chance.

  • The game won't be in Wilson's hands. It'll be the OL that can't/won't block for him and a RB that is fumbling several times a game.

  • I would be surprised if Arky can pull it off, but hope springs eternal. A classic matchup between a team with no offense (AU) and a team with no defense (UArk). The two advantages I see for AU are home field and line play, while Arky has an edge in the QB and skill position people.

    Bamalaw74

  • Depends, IMO, on whether Arkansas can play a turnover-free game. If they do, the Hogs could pull this off.

    Tidaltown

  • Not sure how much of a shocker this would be given Auburn's offensive woes.

The offense goes to Arkansas, Auburn has the better D. Auburns DB's are terrible, KD gets better better as the season goes on. Auburns terrible Offense helps offset the Hogs terrible D. Hmmm. Should be a good game. X-Factor might be coaching. Hard call but I think that tips it to Auburn. Auburn at home but a morning game (Auburn typically plays worse in the early games). Hard call man. I'm going with Arkansas because they have nothing to lose and some respect to gain.

  • It's just sad (for Arkansas fans at least) how a once promising season for Arky has come down to doubts about whether or not they can beat a 1-3 Barn team.

    GooPhi

  • Arkansas gained 515 yards of offense on Texas A&M. I doubt Auburn's defense will be able to stop them if Arkansas comes to play. Arkansas' problem against A&M was turnovers, and then when they got behind, they just quit. Hopefully, they haven't entirely given up on the season and show up to play and have a couple of good scoring drives early. They need a good start, but if they start poorly against Auburn, they'll probably just quit again.

I've already heard from many AU friends that they wouldn't be suprised if they lost bc of "its at 11am and they NEVER play good at 11".

For one, I hate that excuse. Maybe your team has had bad luck winning at that time in the past but don't ever use that as an excuse for why you might lose. That makes you a pus$#!

You would think it being a home game it would be advantage Auburn on this one. They would be sleeping in their own beds and the routine wouldn't be as disrupted. We all know Auburn with the exception of LSU hasn't been playing well. The LSU game gave them a moral victory and some think they have turned the corner and will play better.

I just think Arkansas is better than what has been showed. They were way ahead of ULM when Wilson got hurt. The beating we gave them just took it all out of them. I think they are going to finally recover and play better and beat Auburn.

I have no clue, I don't bet on games. I am sure we have some knowledgeable posters that do know.
