    This not sour grapes, but I think that someday Alabama will be found out to be very dirty and put on probabation again. Saban has proven tha he is a great coach, but he has talent that seems not only superior to most other teams, but his players appear to be much bigger and stronger than most other teams especially in the trenches. Would Saban be a great coach if his players were 15 pounds of muscle less and 2 inches off the biceps. Yes, but would he be as successful ?

    It is like when Bonds, McGuire and Sosa were hitting 60 + homers every year and recording tape measure blasts as well. Something wasn't right. It didn't pass the smell test and neither do Saban's teams. Since most teams are cheating, lifting, eating nutritionally, and taking " supplements", how is one school able to be bigger, stronger etc. year after year. If much of Bama's success, besides excellent coaching and leadership, is because of their strength program and proper nutrition, then some other school should hire them away from Alabama at any price ? Let Saban keep his psychologist though. One has to wonder if they have found a new kind of "roid" err, supplement.

    So, in my opiinion, someday some or all of Saban's championships will be voided because "something isn't passing the smell test, again".

    I heard Cowherd say this also but I'm guessing he doesn't have any "great sources".
    His "sources" were saying CNS would never coach at Alabama.

    That douche bag should probably take a look around much of the rest of the SEC if he thinks bama is that unique. Most of the league is bigger across the board than those patsies up north.

  • I remember seeing Saban's players at LSU the year they won the NC and thinking "man, I wish our D could look like that". After he left and came back to a rival there wasn't one person that would float a rumor out there or have any substantial evidence saying he does stuff like that. It's called absolute grueling off-season. Watch ours then watch everyone elses. Then compare sizes of recruits when they arrive on campus. Pretty easy stuff.

    Just agree with them, tell them we really aren't very good, and we must be huge cheaters.. It usually shuts them up.. You wouldn't think so, but it has worked for me.. They are just losers who want to argue to make themselves feel better about their abortion of a "team"

  • I'm close to some players on the team and here's what I know (and I know it's been said before), the difference is in the details. Yes other schools have S&C coaches, nutritionists and state of the art equipment and regiments. However, I doubt every school's nutritionist creates personalized flip chart meal plans for every player. I doubt every school has a mandatory class teaching the players how to make protein power meals with a Forman grill.

    And on top of all of that, u can't coach height or frame size. Alabama has a very defined body type they are looking for at each position and from what it looked like on Monday, very few if ND's players would have fit Bama's measurements.

    All we heard leading up to the game was how big and physical NDs front 7 was, but on game day in Miami i was shocked at how small they looked, Te'o looked about 6' 230, and they all got pushed around.

    We develop our guys, and they end up like hulks on the field, the strength and nutrition program must be really tip top.

    Top 5 and usually the Top on most recruiting sites, plus the fact that some poorer, more remote schools simply don't get coverage so some young men get overlooked, and even more topped that some sites put up their projected ability to fix grade issues...

    Then you meet Nick Saban. He sees the same film as others. He tells the kids that he believes they can fix their grades and he even sets out a plan for them. This is also true in terms of workouts. He tells a recruit who is positively committed to work out on this schedule (devised by Cochran et al.) and to take these legal supplements, even before they step foot on campus.

    Watch the NCAA take game planning to go away as well in the recruiting world. He will still push the limits. And they'll just make another rule. "it isn't fair" is today's society. Man up! Beat the man! Quit being lazy!

    This in NOT sour grapes, the guy said it's not sour grapes. Read it again, see, not sour grapes, so it can't be sour grapes. Don't know what it is but definitely not sour grapes.

The problem is that these clowns convinced themselves that they were the best and that no one could beat them. They listened to everyone saying how tough their schedule was and that this was their destiny blah blah blah. It was a fluke season and the majority of them can't admit it and are looking for any excuse.
