    Finebaum? Seriously? For months, all Finebaum could talk about regarding aTm was how underwhelmed he was by them. Before Saturday, Manziel was probably the only Aggie he could name.

  • Give me a break. 2 of those 5 teams are horrible, MSU is average at best, and A&M and LSU are pretty good. We barely won against LSU, lost to A&M, and had our butts kicked in both. A lot of you guys that bought into the "Bama could hang with an NFL team" mentality simply need to come to grips with the fact that we aren't that good this year. We did not play anybody until LSU, our schedule turned out to be extremely soft this year. We're still a pretty good team and have a chance to win the SEC, but we are not God's gift to football. It is what it is. Be thankful for what we've got, we still may get a shot at the NC if we catch a bunch of breaks like we did last year, but most of all we need to be thankful that even when we have a rebuilding year our coaching staff is so good that we can hide that fact until week 10 and we were still #1 for most of the year.

    It is good to be Alabama right now.

  • Forget those 5 in a row. No team in the country could beat LSU and A&M in consecutive weeks. One week to prepare for each and they are polar opposite of each other on offense. Not to mention both are peeking right now.

    I did not understand or participate in the nfl stuff. I don't know what "not that good" means but we are very very good. We would be favored against any team in CFB on a neutral field and have a fairly realistic shot at a national championship. I know we are in whine mode but that's just the truth.

    I do not know if it is true, but someone emailed me with this information: Alabama just finished playing three ranked teams in three consecutive weeks. In the history of college football, no number one ranked team has won three consecutive games against three ranked teams except Miami (I think the year was 2001 and incidentally, that was the Miami team with the most future NFL players, on one team, in college football history). I know for a fact several teams have defeated three ranked teams in consecutive games, so perhaps it is the added pressure of being ranked number one that renders the likihood of such an accomplishment a near impossibility.

    It was three top 15 teams in consecutive weeks. It was noted that it hasn't been done since 1945 I believe
