As for NU, the same thing could have been said about us 5 years ago before we got Saban as it related to us ever becoming elite again. Many had written us off and pointed to us not winning a national title in 15 years, 1 SEC title in 14 years, a lot of losing seasons, kept getting turned down by coaches...but then we got Saban and the rest is history. I think programs like Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc, will always find their way back. We all go through times like this...USC was average for quite a while in the 80's-90's, OU was downright bad in the 90's, Texas didn't do anything for a long time...but nabbing one elite coach can revitalize a traditional program in a hurry. You have to go out and get the right one though and I don't think Pelini is it. Still, I think Nebraska will go out and spend the money to bring in an elite coach next time around and they will be back. Their fanbase will demand it and won't settle for anything less...just like us.

Notre Dame is an exception. I don't know if it's the academic requirements, not being in a conference, being in a state like Indiana where high school talent isn't great, bad coaching hires but they have been down for longer than the rest of the blue bloods have been at times and I honestly don't see them returning, at least not consistently.

The drill tape they're talking about at Nebraska has gone viral. We're using it here at the HS in Ga where I coach. I know a buddy of mine at a HS in Kentucky is using it too. It's well put together and includes all the coaching points you need for DB & LB drills, tackling drills & technique, etc. They do a great job of tying in form tackling to so much of what they do.

We've gone to more man coverage this season & these DVD clips sent via Hudl have been invaluable.
