YES it was. And UDub packaged this deal into picking up Eric Kiesau from Cal. They basically did another deal individually with them to pull in another key piece. Very similar to what teams do once a big deal involving several team members does. There is always another move to be done - in order to complete the roster/staff.

I am Very Happy we got Coach Nuss in the deal. I think he will do great things with AJ, PSims, and all other QB's currently on the roster and those to come. Love absolutely Love this hire. The one thing I have felt we were missing (lol and we ain't missin' much at Bama these days) but....we needed someone with real QB leadership and understanding to take our guys to the next level. AJ certainly has the tools to be a better than productive leader at the QB position for Alabama. He could Win Games....and we have not been able to say that in reality for years. Not one who can come out and actually win a game on his arm, his leadership, his play....game in and game out. AJ can do this if asked to. And AJ was asked to do this very thing in the BCS Championship Game. This hire - if I have not made it clear yet - Is a Home Run imho and will take our offense to the next level. Does that mean it will be unstoppable next year? No. Everything, especially change, takes time. Much more time than one off season. But I fully expect to see improvements this coming year.
