Walker's coach spoke with the Jacksonville Times-Union.
"He really got kind of nervous about going that far away from home," Geis said. "I think DeMarcus, in the end, felt more comfortable with Jeremy."
Walker had originally committed to Alabama in late August, and had continually flirted with Florida throughout the process. Walker seemingly had little interest in the Seminoles until very late in the process, created almost exclusively by Pruitt's relationship with the young defensive end.
I HOPE WE GET TO REPAY PRUITT SHORTLY.. Okay to leave, not okay to take players along.

It wasn't about Pruitt..more about Sal.
Well, somebody needs to tell Demarcus to get his own story straight.
Give the kid and coach JP a break. He lives with his mother now (not sure what the deal is) and the move was all about her being able to see him play. Basically, according to him, it was about being 2.5 hours away or 8.5. The fact it turned out to be Fla St. and not Fla was due to JP but the kid was gone either way.
I doubt very seriously that JP initiated this. It would not be a good career move to mess with CS. I bet you they had a conversation before Fla St. accepted him.
It is disappointing to lose him but it always is when someone de-commits. We will be happy with who we get in his place, I am sure.
"Sorry it took me so long to answer. I was just thinking about how weird it is that we eat birds." - Tracy Jordan
The warchant guys reported that they knew about this for weeks but couldn't report it. How did they know about it? Why could they not report it? Why could they suddenly report it the very minute when coach Pruitt wasn't on the UA payroll anymore?
I mean you really have to be kind of stupid not to see that coach Pruitt's fingerprints are all over this. It's pretty obvious that he fcked the UA coaches over.
Never Gets Old
I'm just glad he went to FSU and not UF.
We will be fine with or without him, and I know he won't be a concern for us at all in Tally. In Gainesville, he might have had some sort of direct impact on us down the road. It's like kids who pick Clemson or go to the Big 10. As long as they don't go somewhere in the SEC, good riddance, and I'll never hear from them again.
As it is, good luck to him, and enjoy irrelevance in your program, relatively speaking.
