-Tommy Hunter, Wade LeBlanc, Alex Avila, Josh Rutledge, and David Robertson are playing at the major level currently.
-Adam Morgan is 1-2 with a 3.23 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 2:1 K:BB ratio at the AAA level right now
-Ross Wilson is in High A batting .250/.373 with 1 HR and a .967 fielding %
-Jimmy Nelson is 3-0 with a 1.30 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP at the AA level. Look for him to be in AAA at some point this year. Hoping he's on a late 2014 MLB debut track but I haven't dug too deep
-Taylor Dugas is in A-ball batting .286/.423 with 5 SB's
Unfortunately it's pretty slim at the minor league level for Alabama. A lot of guys who will never see time at the MLB level. Austin Hyatt hit a wall last season in AAA and got released by Philly. He may catch on somewhere this season. Tough road ahead of him after looking like a sure MLB candidate for 2013 when I was following him in 2011.
We should see one of White/Overstreet have a path similar to Rutledge. The other will likely take the path of Ross Wilson. My guess is a pitcher off our roster currently will see MLB time. Possibly Castillo or Turnbull. Maybe even Guilbeau.
Turnbull has good stuff...whats he throwing 92-95 range?? Castillo has also been imspressive.
Year-by-Year Picks: 2012:Taylor Dugas, Ian Gardeck, Jared Reaves, 2011:Adam Morgan, Taylor Dugas, Nathan Kilcrease, Brock Bennett, 2010:Jimmy Nelson, Josh Rutledge, Ross Wilson, ...
Was tickled to see Josh Rutledge on SportsCenter last week (maybe the week before) making a heck of a diving catch in shallow RF.
