Judging by the comments made in regard to this article, I'm actually surprised that there are as many marijuana apologists as there seem to be... that's a little disheartening.

There is no doubt about it. Just saying its not the 1930's anymore.
I definitely don't condone what he did. But there are a ton of people who do it in today's world. Still like you said, it's illegal.

The perception by many in the country is Alabama is nothing more than a football factory at any cost. I can only speak for myself but I am embarrassed as a fan. It will be blown up, Alabama doesn't need the negative publicity. An Alabama player with a past player from Alabama. That's a hell of a way to represent Alabama, it sends a great message to all of these recruits parents.
I remember many posters on this board making fun of other programs, blasting HoneyBager and LSU, to not denounce this and in some way condone it is beyond hypocritical. RTR

Maybe it should be legal, and maybe a lot of politics are involved in it. I don't know nor do I care. The only thing I know is it is illegal to posses, sale, or smoke. Dre knows this and so does everyone else out there that uses or sales it. If you do something illegal don't blame the system or the cops, you can only blame yourself. Also any documentary can be bent to favor one side or the other. I am sure there is a documentary out there to combat most of what is in "Grass."

I'm with you. I am all for it being legal and/or staying illegal. I really don't care one way or the other, but the legalize it crowd has to be a collection of the dumbest people in this civilization. You couldn't have hand picked a stupider group of people if you had tried.

Where was this response back when Honey Fagger and Crowell were being discussed ? I don't give 2 sh!ts about making excuses for our players. Wrong is wrong, and what Dre did is wrong. And yes, it will cost him money in the draft. Bama player or not, grow a damn brain, and grow up.
