Remember when recruiting used to be worth worrying about?

I like it this way much better. Have a line of top 100/250 players waiting on a spot at your school to open up, so that even if something "odd" goes down, you just replace said player with another player who's just as good, but will now get your staff's coaching as opposed to that of any other coaching staff in America.

Having the whole country to pick & choose recruits from helps. Along with flat out knowing you're going to win 10+ games most years, compete for championships & fill up the 1st round draft with outbound players from your program, no matter what the exact names of the players you bring in are.

If he wants to play for barn, let him. He won't be developed, and when he leaves *u he will be the exact same player as when he came in as a freshman (just like every other player they've had since GC arrived). Plus, he will be playing for an unknown head coach in two years or less. I feel sorry for any kid, especially one from Alabama, that chooses to go to barn over Alabama. It makes no logical sense. Just watch the NFL draft.

You know I keep hearing he grew up an aub and that may be true, but if it is true, why is his dad a member of this site?

I didn't know that his dad was a member of this site.. Just goes to show that people should watch what they say about recruits.. But I'm pretty sure that I saw an online interview a couple of months ago where he talks about growing up an *u fan but this (coming to Alabama) is the best thing for him.. It was one where he was talking to his web cam with someone asking him questions .. Maybe we can dig it up somewhere
