Searles was at UGA, right? If it is who I am thinking of, I don't think he did a great job there.

Croom may not have coached OL, but he played it, and was VERY good at the position. He has been coaching for a long time and is very good. Being here in MS I can say this, his players loved him. MSU brought in a new AD who had an agenda and carried it out, then bailed on MSU and went to the West Coast. Not because he is a former player and former coach at Bama, but because his resume is more than impressive.
