That was the amazing thing about covering baseball (I covered the Arizona Diamondbacks 1998-2000), you just never knew what was going to happen at the ballpark every night.

yep...I'm not a huge baseball fan because of the monotony, but you never no...an unknown can pitch a perfect game or hit for the cycle on any night the baseball gods allow it...still remember that Braves playoff game I attended vs the Pirates when Bream scored on the Cabrera double after doing nothing hitting all night...incredible ending to a boring game that I saw a fair share of fans leave early.
