Ole Miss

  • I fear the Rebel Black Bears will be another tough match up for our guys. They are 15-1 at home this season. They have two seniors down low who can really get after it. They lead the conference in foul shots. Henderson leads the conference by about 20 attempts. With the game being in Oxford, we could be looking at a worse foul situation than what we had yesterday. Plus we are coming off an emotional letdown from the Florida game.

Ole Miss has been on a skid lately and ole Marshall missed 15 three's yesterday. We will need him to be just as bad on Tuesday night. We're really going to need to stay out of foul trouble. I thought Jacobs really played tough against the Gators. We're going to need a similar or better performance from him and we'll need Gueye to stay on the court.

Don't get me wrong. I think we can win, but it will take a hell of an effort. We need this one and three more wins and we will be dancing.

  • Jacobs really needs to commit to getting stronger in the offseason....he gets way too many rebounds snatched out of his hands. This game may well be the difference in finishing 2nd in the conference and 4th or worse.

Ole Miss has a better team on paper than Alabama. Bama fans are hard on coach Grant but ignore the fact that there are several SEC teams with better talent behind Bama in the standings. Coach Grant is getting more out of his guys than any coach in the SEC. For example,Kentucky has 2 top 15 NBA draft picks on their team not including Noel.

  • Ummm so now we have less talent? 2 5 stars and multiple 4 stars. We technically have more talent than every team not named UK or UF.

  • Limiting Holloway will be key. Henderson is erratic but I think we can avoid fouling him on his quick triggers.

you can talk star ratings all you want but the bottom line is that Alabama's post players could not play for any other SEC team. We are like a football team with great skill guys and no Oline or Dline. So yes, I think Ole Miss has a better roster than Alabama from top to bottom.

Grant signed them. Just like Calipari signed those top 15 draft picks that got ran out of fayettville yesterday. You sign kids with expectations and sometimes they arent the players you thought they were. The bottom line is that Coach Grant is winning with his mistakes. A lot of other coaches arent
