Oregon, KSU, ND, or Louisville?

  • Assuming we don't have any hiccups between now and the title game and the other four undefeated teams also survive, who would you like to see Bama go up against?

I'd like to see Bama/Oregon. We had to put up with people whining and moping last year because so many people wanted to see OK State's offense in the title game, and if ND or KSU jump UO in the BCS I don't want to hear people taking away from our year because we didn't match up against Oregon's offense.

Obviously, the media and sponsors will freak out if an undefeated ND team doesn't get an invite, but ND doesn't pass the eye test. They've been extremely fortunate in the officiating department the last two weeks and their schedule didn't turn out as daunting as it appeared to be at the beginning of the season.

Louisville's schedule rules them out, so it comes down to Oregon and KSU. Both great teams and KSU has played a tougher schedule but Oregon just looks insanely strong on offense and that puts them over the top in my eyes.

  • Selfishly, I want to play Oregon. But I feel like if KState wins out they are in.

Oregon and it is no contest. Despite Bama & other SEC schools dominating these high flying offenses from the Big 12 and Pac 14 in championship games, everyone thinks we can't handle Oregon b/c of their fast pace. I mean They act like this Oregon offense is light years better than the one Aubie defeated 2 years ago. The biggest difference between a BAMA/Oregon match-up and the Aubie/Oregon match-up is that BAMA actually has a way above average defense and Aubie's was average at best.

2010 - Oregon has scored an average of 50.5 points scored/game and 18.3 points/game allowed.

2012 - Oregon has scored an average of 54.3 points scored/game and 22.8 points/game allowed thru 9 games

They are scoring 3.8 more points/game and allowing 4.5 more points/game

  • I think we beat any of them, so it really does not matter to me in terms of us winning the championship. However, I hate Notre Dame and always have and always will, so I would like to beat them the most. After that, it would be Oregon to serve some "shut up" juice to the pundits because I am tired of hearing how much trouble we would have with them. I actually admire the job Coach Synder has done at Kansas State, but I think everyone would expect us to beat them badly, and I think we would do so. I cannot imagine Louisville getting in the game, even if everyone else loses a game.

I believe we beat Texas A&M, but A&M probably scares me more than any of the potential unbeatens.

  • For me personally nothing like beating the crap out of the Irish, but Oregon would be close 2nd.

  • ND but everyone else in the country wants us to play Oregon to see if our defense can stop that crazy offense of theirs. I wish we had last year's defense to play them with.

  • Oregon would be the better game than KSU. It will surprise me if Oregon doesn't get in.

Though It will most likely be Oregon, I would like to see ND. Two most storied programs in College football history square off in the National title game. It would set records for viewing.

I have mixed feelings- for historical/ rivalry purposes i'd like to see ND. Plus i think we'd whoop em. But i also know i wouldn't be able to get tix.

KSt would be the easiest matchup and imo almost wn assured win

Would love to put another dagger in the UO vs SEC debate (tho LSU and AU did it twice it still lingers ). But UO would present the toughest challenge

    Bama_Lefty

  • I'd love to play Louisville. We owe them a beatdown from the Fiesta bowl and they'd be by far the easiest matchup.

ND would be a much easier win than ksu. The ND offense is terrible.

Per Brad Edwards, if both teams win out he believes Oregon gets in.

    You may be right.
Im going off what Brad Edwards and others say.
His description was that KSt is just like Bama but without the talent
    He thinks we'd kill em
But i guess same could be said of ND.

  • Louisville for the easy win. I don't care if we're tested, all that matters is the trophy.
