  • I feel for this boy so much....has to be scared out of his mind. Apparently he is also a special needs child. It is actually driving me crazy right now. I keep picturing my son in there and what I would do. I know there is no way to know unless you are in fact in the situation but I would think the law enforcement would be kissing my ass. I would probably die, but I would have to get to my boy. That father must be losing his damn mind. This deserves no trial. Shoot on site!

    Nah. Never heard of him. Dothan's probably sitting at 100,000 folks now...long past that "small town, run into everybody downtown" thing.

    This just happens to be taking place a few miles outside of Dothan on 231.

    It also appears from media reports he kept to himself except when he was shooting at people or killing their dogs. Ed as it I'm not trying to be funny but those are things that he really did. If he gets out alive he'll probably end up in a mental hospital for the rest of his life. But as others have said, SWAT will take care of him if he peeks outta his hole.

  • My folks are about 8 miles from there. Not sure if its common knowledge but here's the latest I have heard. There is a PVC ventilation pipe. Police have had communication with the man through this pipe. The man also let them pass down the child's medication through the pipe. So I hope that somewhere in his insane mind he at least is considering the child's health. The child has spoken to his parents and I believe he is watching tv. From what I hear the child is in decent spirits. The parents have been kept off site for understandable reasons. There has been continuous people spending time with the family from local teachers to county superintendent Dennis Coe and I believe the state superintendent today. As I said I'm sure this is all common knowledge but what I'm hearing from my folks who live very close

  • So... How do you get him and the kid out of the bunker hole? Of course the safety of the kid is a must.. Only thing I can think of doing is putting them to sleep somehow ( not sure what's available). Maybe some odorless gas ( non harmful of course ) .. Any other ideas?

    But the article I read stated the man came on the bus demanding boys between 6 and 8. I think there has to be some bad stuff going on down there.

  • From what i understand the bravery of the bus driver is what kept him from taking more. He came on the bus demanding to take children. Bus driver said not on my bus. Not sure if he tried to drive off or push him out the bus or what. But thats when the man shot the driver. Kids started jumping out the back of the bus. He grabbed 1 child (I assume since this boy was special needs he was sitting at the very front) then took of running for his bunker. Like i said not sure on exact events but this is what i was told.

  • I knew the driver and he was as fine a person as ive ever met in my life. Prayers to his family and the childs family.

  • My three-year-old nephew is autistic and developmentally delayed. We are very close, so this tears at my heart even moreso than it normally would. If someone like this man did something like this to him, I'd fight a pack of wild dogs to tear him limb from limb.

    Not sure he's mentally stable enough to have that thought. For the love can we just leave our children alone? It's horrific enough when something happens to an innocent adult but when a child is involved, it goes to a different level IMO.

    BTW, one of my best friends is a sniper for the FBI SWAT team in North Alabama and he is down there.

    these doomsdayers all are taught to take 2 children with them between 6-13 to raise together, male and female, to "seed the earth". These people are quackier than donald duck and just as slippery when wet. And this one seems particularly so...
