"BINGO! That was a goody!" - Coach Bryant on Sunday afternoons with Coca Cola & Golden Flakes
95% of our passing games are 5 yds crossing routes, dump offs to running backs and bubble screens,we've had 1 deep go routes and that was the TD to White in the Michigan game,in the big picture,we have to throw deep more in games down the road, the opposing team defensive coordinator has to know these tendencies.our offense really haven't clicked since the first half of the Michigan game, these blowouts and playing conservative when we have the big leads have hurt the rhythm of the offense.open it up Nussmeir
Teams are loading the box and run blitzing on first down and we are continuing to run into them. Eventually we will decide to start throwing on 1st down and burn some people and loosen them up. Why we haven't done that yet I don't know but it's coming. As good as our backs are, they are not going to consistently gain yardage when there are two unblocked defenders in the box. Losing Fowler as a lead blocker has been killer also.
