A thread on the free forum of Aubie's TOS is titled "So what else will you be doing this Saturday afternoon?" Naturally, I was over there gauging their optimism and had to click on it. Some real gold contained therein.
Here are a few gems:
**For the first time ... well ever ... I do not plan on watching the v. bama game ... Will probably just hit the gym for a couple of hours
**did not watch last year....will not watch this year....probably go to the marina and hang out on my boat...
**I didn't even know it was Saturday, I assumed it was Friday. Going to play golf with my brother in laws. First IB I will not be watching since 1993.
**Golf. This makes the second year in a row for me.
**Doing an interpretive dance of the Gene Chizik era at the local folk art festival.
**If they're playing , I'm watching...at least until halftime.
**I sat through the entire Iron Bowl 4 years ago so I'm used to the beat-down that will be coming.
**I will be at church setting up for Christmas program for the third year.
**I assumed the game was on Friday. I'll be traveling this Saturday. It's actually been a great fall doing things I don't normally do on Saturdays.
**I'll be working. For the first time ever, this doesn't bother me a bit.
**Well, I gave DirectTV the finger and am changing to U-Verse. I scheduled the connection for Saturday and I'm hoping that the guy won't have it setup until after the game so I won't have to watch the carnage. I'll just read about it in the obituaries on Sunday.
**Probably headed to see a movie of some kind!
**I'm having a hard time deciding to be honest. I am either going to schedule a root canal, or a full body hair removal.
**I'll be watching football. Probably not our game, though.
**I cannot sit through another beatdown. I walked out (again, first time ever) of both Texas A&M and THuga from Jordan Hare. Simply refuse to watch it.

I posted this yesterday but my next door neighbor, an Aubie, is breaking his streak of 32 consecutive Iron Bowls this year. He generally flies in from Tampa, where his family generally spends Thanksgiving, however this year they will be in Birmingham already and he still isn't going.
