I have no worries about the passing game. AJ will only get better this year. Love Hanks, Maze, and Smelley but they are replacable players. AJ, like most QBs, is more comfortable throwing to WRs with size (see Norwood in championship game). I feel very comfortable with our offense in general but would say that replacing Richardson is bigger concern than passing game.

I like that you pointed out that AJ's completion % is likely to drop due to the fact that the passing game is going to be more vertical.

I think he goes over 3,000 yards. His attempts are likely to go down but the yards per attempt will increase. The yards per completion should go up significantly.

Another biggie would be if he can get to 25 passing TDs.

The whole year I kept wondering why Norwood was not getting more minutes. Every time he touched the field he performed and all anyone could throw up was that he was in the doghouse for practice ethic. I was so happy to see his performance in the BCSNC when we basically had few options for WR. I don't like to question Saban, and I don't know how true the workout etchic rumors are, but I am certainly glad to see him playing a more prominent role this year. Norwood seems to find openings, and even if the coverage is blanket, he still seems to make the grab. Who was the last Bama WR you could say that about? Prothro comes to mind, but other than that the cupboard at the position, in regards to those abilities, has been pretty bare.

We haven't had this much competition across the board at the WR position in my lifetime---cannot wait to see who rises to the top...they're gonna be AMAZING...

AJ McCarron is the leader on this offense and he has a stable of WRer's to throw to this season.
