    "And you just ask yourself," Robertson said, "OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right."

    PR is obviously not a football fan. He is a Tebow fan. Football fans understand the nature of the NFL, there is no loyalty to anything but winning and money. Tebow is obviously a very likable guy but his poor accuracy and slow release is going to catch up with him as he ages. Denver has a defense that can carry them to a title with just a little improvement on offense. If Manning can play it will be a massive improvement over Tebow. It is a no brainer in my opinion. And I don't say this as an attack on Tebow because he is a Christian. It is a sincere critique of his limited ability as an nfl qb.

    I'm not a Robertson fan, and I think it's somewhat of a dumb quote as most NFL teams would see a major drop off if their starter was injured (such as the Colts this past year), but this quote has been taken out of context to the extreme.

    It's been reported as if Robertson wants Manning to be injured, and he clearly doesn't say that in this quote. He's obviously upset at what he considers to be poor treatment toward Tebow by the Broncos, but he never says he wants Manning to get injured. It's not like Robertson is the only one who's questioned how Manning will hold up.

    Again, I'm not a Robertson fan, but what am I missing... are there other quotes I haven't seen??

  • I for one believe that the Broncos will wind up regretting this move. Not for moving Tebow per se but in believing that a near 40 year old damaged good QB is going to take them anywhere. I think this was a convenient way for Elway to be rid of Tebow. As for Manning, he has been a great QB obviously and he seems like a fine fellow but I do hate having to hear about St Peyton 24/7 here in Vile land. I'm glad he did not go to the Titans or I would have never heard the end of it!

    BTW Anybody watch the Broncos/Patriots playoff game? The Denver OL was a complete sieve in that game. Tebow did not lose the game. He had about 1.5 seconds to get rid of the ball. Peytie Pie would have been killed in that game.

  • I always cringe when i hear a pat robertson. I'm a Christian, but basically have the opposite opinion of him on most every issue. The only time i think I've ever agreed with anything he publicly said was when i said marijuana should be taxed and regulated like alcohol. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
