I was about to work out today at the moorer YMCA, but I saw Pete carrol shooting bball. He was the only guy shooting so I went over and started shooting with him. Anyways we got to talking about players in the senior bowl and bama players in the draft. Here are a few of his thoughts.
He really likes upshaw. He thinks he is a better player than Von miller. He said Von was more athletic, but upshaw is stronger, more technically sound an doesn't have weaknesses.
He said Trent was the best back he has ever evaluated including Adrian Peterson.
He thinks Hightower will go 1st round and will play olb.
He said he was very happy with James carpenter. He liked his work ethic and hated to see him get injured.
He likes menzie but isn't planning on drafting a cb that high.I thought he was very engaging. I could see him being a better nfl coach than college. He treated everyone with respect when he was playing bball and I could see how nfl players would like to play for him. I was shocked how willing he was to talk about the draft with someone he just met. Take it for what it is worth.
