If I remember Ely was all but signed to LSU when out of nowhere he came to us. He gave it a shot. Didn't work out so he continues his quest closer to home. Kid has talent. He will make USF better.

I saw this kid play in the State Championship vs. St Thomas Aquinas and i knew he wasn't Bama material.Wish the kid well.

Looking at that list, is there a position on the field where we have less depth? I am not talking about warm bodies -- I am talking about either known commodities on the field or highly rated recruits who we have a high level of confidence in. Not that stars are everything but show me another position with an average star rating less than this list of QBs (even moreso when it included Ely). It is the one position where recruits have not been beating our door down. JMO.
