A friend of mine from high school, who I marched with in the band, died over the weekend in a car accident. She was 22 years old. I can't even imagine how awful this must be for the family and close friends. I haven't spoken to her much the last couple years but it still feels very, very weird and upsetting. Please, send up some good words to help her family through this trying time.

Was she a social work major by chance? My wife just had a classmate pass away in a car accident over the weekend as well...same age I believe.

I PM'd you. Hopefully no one else has to be a part of this tragedy. I feel almost selfish feeling bad about it, seeing as she and I weren't close friends after the last couple years, but it hit me really hard... I think because I'm not that much older than she is. Really makes you realize it doesn't matter how old or who you are, you know?

I need help from my brethren. I'm breaking down. While me and her may not have been that close as of late, I'm not handling this well. This doesn't happen to good people. She cared. About everyone. This is not okay. I hate to sound selfish, but I'm losing perspective right now, and I don't know what to do... please, someone help...
