Prayer request....my wife's 4 year battle with BC has come

  • to a critical point....today we learned and was told she has weeks to months. Pray for strength for all but most of all her daughter who attends Alabama....she will not tell her until this weekend. Guys and girls....thank you for all the humor and insight you have brought us the last few years....I know some of my posts are crazy and often don't make sense...but you all have helped a dark situation lighter, you have helped more than you will ever know and you will continue to help. This has been a wonderful outlet...not only for me but for her too. Thank you for answering all the previous prayer requests.....she has fought a long hard battle...as the Oncologist told us today..."she has a terminal illness that she has outlived".....she is a fighter and will continue to fight but the fight just got a little bit tougher. She was given the option of throwing in the towel or moving on with another treatment....she opted for the latter. if the treatment doesn't work it will be weeks, if it does it will be months. Thank you all and please not only pray for her and her daughter.....pray for a cure for this terrible disease.....

  • You're a much better man than me. I'd collapse without my better half. Prayers are sent. I'm praying for years -- not months or weeks. His will be done, not mine. But, if we don't ask, we may not receive. Bless you and your family, my brother.

And another note.....I have a connection to Chris Speilman whose wife died of BC a few years ago through fundraising for BC research and his book.....I sent him a note this evening asking for advice.....the man called me....not only was he my hero on the field....he is my hero and inspiration off the field as well.

God bless all of you, and may your days be filled with some great laughs and good memories! You seem to have been blessed to have a wonderful, strong woman in your life.     My friend, like I've said before, you know I lost my father at 46 to terminal melanoma and grandfather at 56 to pancreatic. It's a horrible disease, and it's tough to watch someone you love suffer like that, but your wife has been an inspiration. She's one tough woman, and you guys are in my prayers....And God can move mountains.....
