I think it was fine given the situation. I think Coach explained the situation well in his post game remarks. If we tackle the TE before he gets out of bounds, then the game probably ends there. Also, alot of guys thought the game was over before the INT was overturned. I think our guys relaxed a bit and Georgia took advantage.

I hated it the moment I saw us start with it that last series. But it wasn't until I read what Saban said after the game that with so little time on the clock they were playing to keep the ball in bounds so they put several guys close to the sidelines to do just that. He had a special name for it that means keeping it in bounds (don't remember). He said if a play or 2 stays in bounds the game is over. But we didn't execute and they kept getting out of bounds. Then it made perfect sense. and I would agree that we should use it in that situation. You may recall that we went back to our regular pass defense when the ball got around the 30.

You're kidding right??? On the last drive we rushed three every play except the last one, and no rusher ever came close to laying a hand on Murray. When we rushed three earlier in the game we gave up a third and a mile and a half. Rushing three was epic failure pretty much every time we did it. Had Aaron Murray not mismanaged the last 15 seconds of the game, there is a very good chance we would be heading to the "nobody bowl."

Yeah I would've liked to have seen Hubbard rushing as well, but we had him dropping back in coverage instead.

Rushing 3 I thought was a bad idea. Let Murray stand there he can make throws.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I dislike the prevent D as well in general, but I thought with the success UGAs receivers were having getting open deep that it was necessary. Like Saban said, we keep the guys in bounds and there's no drama at the end. Would've been nice to get more pressure on Murray, but we had to prevent a completion to someone behind the secondary at all costs, and our corners and safeties had not shown themselves capable of preventing that by themselves.
