You can forget about Kirby going to Auburn, primarily because the model he uses for success is Saban's, and you're not going to get the administrative autonomy at Auburn with Dye and those clowns hanging around. Not unless Kirby gets a break-the-bank check and tells people he's going to run things his way or they can go shit in a hat. I can see Auburn pony'ing up the money, but I can't see the behind-the-scenes powers-that-be allowing anyone to run things independently.

Agree, Tennessee or Georgia is likely to be Kirby's next best option.

Another job that might be interesting would be Georgia Tech. That Paul Johnson axed Al Groh this week suggests he's probably fine for another year, but that's a $2.6 million/yr job.

And I wouldn't rule Kirby out at Arkansas, either. Petrino was making huge money there.

Because Kirby would run a program like Saban. Do it the right way and be in control. Dye and lowder run au and want a yes man so things can be done "the auburn way". Kirby knows how that program is run and wont take a job with an old drunk trying to run the program. And au wont hire a real coach that would put pat dye out of power.
