The highest paid coach is defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who doubles as the secondary coach. Pruitt will make $500,000 including $300,000 for speaking engagements and public relations compensation.

Good for him. Now all he has to do is back it up on the field and produce a consensus Top 5 D every year and dominate
the ACC. Time will tell.....

I read that as a base salary of $200k, plus $300k for outside income for a total of $500k.

No. Now that I think of it, it sounds to me like his annual salary is probably close to $37,000, four tennis rackets, and a blade skateboard. Probably works out for the best.

Time will tell on Pruitt's coaching ability. Probably a good Idea to start out as a coordinator in the minors like the acc.
